What first drew you to this home?

The first thing my husband and I noticed when we toured this house was the open view of the backyard. The yard was like a park, but a private one, surrounded by woods and privacy. The view was unlike anything we had seen in our prior neighborhood.

What is it like living here?

Living here feels balanced. We are close to friends, family and all the conveniences, but we have the space to also feel a sense of separation and quiet. I love sitting in the front and back gardens and listening to the trees and the birds and taking in the sunshine. My dogs have the best time exploring the yard.

What are some updates or changes you've loved making over time?

We have spent a lot of time and energy making the outdoor space into what it is today. We created an entertainment space in the back, with a kitchen/dining area and a much used lounging area. We also created a park-like garden with rock walls in our front yard, which has hosted some very important occasions for our family. On the inside of the house, we've made it even more personalized, beautiful and functional, putting in a custom office, a library and updating the look across various rooms.
